The Pirate Queen Sets Sail on Meta Quest 2 Next Year

Singer Studios Announces Expansion of "The Pirate Queen" into a Meta Quest 2 Adventure

Singer Studios, the innovative developer behind the thrilling VR experience "The Pirate Queen: Night of Succession," is delighted to announce the exciting expansion of the game into a fully-fledged Meta Quest adventure. Originally conceived as a VR short, "The Pirate Queen" captivated audiences with its immersive storytelling and is now set to offer even more in a 2 hour game on the Meta Quest 2 platform.

The game centers around the remarkable life of Cheng Shih, one of history's most notable female pirates. While names like Mary Read and Annie Bonny often take the spotlight in pirate folklore, "The Pirate Queen" aims to shed light on the extraordinary journey of Cheng Shih. Players will be challenged to step into her shoes and become leader of the fleet, leading an impressive fleet of 70,000 pirates in the lead up to the Opium Wars.

What sets "The Pirate Queen" apart is its unique approach to gameplay. Rather than focusing on ship-to-ship combat, the game takes players on a VR puzzle adventure. With a captivating story directed by critically acclaimed Eloise Singer, players will delve into Cheng Shih's story, during a pivotal moment when she defied the odds and outsmarted her adversaries.

As "The Pirate Queen" prepares to set sail on Meta Quest 2, Singer Studios has released an enticing trailer to offer a glimpse of the adventure that awaits players. The game is scheduled to launch at the end of 2023, promising an unforgettable VR experience on the Meta Quest 2 platform.

Furthermore, Singer Studios has partnered with Beijing-based Seesaw Films, known for their work on "The Farewell," to develop "The Pirate Queen" into a captivating TV series. This collaboration aims to bring Cheng Shih's epic tale to a broader audience, further showcasing her remarkable story.
