Mrs Benz selected to premiere at SXSW 2023

Singer Studios’ highly anticipated VR game, "Mrs Benz," has been selected to be part of the XR Spotlight at SXSW Festival 2023.

Created by Singer Studios, the immersive game takes players on an extraordinary journey into the life and accomplishments of Bertha Benz, a remarkable woman who played a pivotal role in the birth of the world's first automobile.

Set in Germany in 1888, "Mrs Benz" provides a unique and captivating experience by delving into the perspective of Bertha Benz, a courageous woman who defied societal expectations and supported her husband, Karl Benz, in his invention of the "horseless carriage". At a time when women were expected to conform to traditional roles, Bertha Benz took a bold step by stealing her husband's Motorwagen and embarking on a historic road trip. Her journey, covering a distance of 120km, not only showcased the capabilities of the automobile but also solidified its place in history.

Helmed by the award-winning producer-writer-director Eloise Singer, Mrs Benz is an experience designed to give players the opportunity to step into the shoes of Bertha Benz and explore her story. The game allows participants to enter her workshop, discover her inspiring history, search for the blueprints of the world's first car, and assemble the engine for Karl Benz's groundbreaking invention. As players progress, they embark on a road trip that alters the course of history, experiencing firsthand the wonder and excitement surrounding the creation of the automobile.
